The firm Mack Williams and Gibton was formed around 1812, and then upon the death of Mack in 1829, the firm continued to trade as William Gibton. The firm was granted and attained the Royal Warrant for many years, supplying and restoring furniture for the Four Courts, the War Office, the Barracks Office, Dublin Castle, the Chapel Royal, the Treasury and Viceregal Lodge, as well as major residences throughout Ireland.

The Knight of Glin and James Piel in their latest book state" the partnership of Mack, Williams & Gibton was one of the most successful of the second and third decades of the Nineteenth Century"
