Boxer has painted some of his traditional country, found along the middle
stretches of Purkitji (Sturt Creek). Boxer knows all facets of this country
and the seasonal changes that occur to the river. The painting depicts
Purkitji itself, including the floodwaters and the many smaller tributaries.
