Documentation reads
This work incorporates designs associated with the travels of the two
women Kungka Kutjarra. The artist has depicted lines representing hairstring
worn by women like skirts during ceremony, and the sites associated with
their travels.
Hair string belts are often used symbolically to represent the act of
women dancing. The belts, worn above the hips, have dangling strings often
with feathers attached which swing about as the women dance, highlighting
their attractiveness. The small roundels represent the western kwoll (Kuningka),
a small animal that usually lives in burrows dug by other animas.
