Documentation reads
The arlatyey or ‘pencil yam’ is a very traditional bush food and is a focal point for much of Emily’s work. The bold brushwork and layering represents the flowers of the plant, as well as different seeds at different stages of decay in their life cycle. The word Kame means Atnwelarr plant.
