Documentation reads: Kungkarrakalpa depicts the landscape of [the artist’s]
family’s country, Anamarapiti, which is homeland close to the tri-state
border of WA, SA and NT. Tommy’s paintings originate from traditional
sand drawings. They are the memories to be passed on to future generations,
visual depictions of traditional ancestral ceremonies in his homeland.
