After a good rain in Glorias country the desert becomes a blanket
of leaves. Many of these leaves are used for bush medicine. The leaves
are collected and boiled, to extract the resin. After this the leaves
are mixed with kangaroo fat to make a paste. The medicine is used to heal
cuts, wounds, bites, rashes, and as an insect repellent, and the flowers
are also lovely and sweet to eat.
